Dance Recital

Since Ashley enjoys her ballet lessons so much, when a friend told us that her child was going to be in a recital, I decided that we should go.  This was the end of the year recital at Brent and was one afternoon after school.  The kids and I all enjoyed it.  Scott and Ryan enjoyed the music and spotting their classmates involved in the recital too.  Ashley was so excited to see our friend Mia and waved to her so much when she first came on stage-I had to tell Ashley that Mia couldn't wave back to her!

 Little girls in jungle print
Our friend Mia-her mom has come to our Moms in Prayer group
She is very good-dancing with so many older dancers!
This group reminded me a little of flashdance
This group danced to a song that is in one of the Lightning McQueen movies and had some of Ryan's classmates in it too.
Loved these oriental costumes-they like smoke and flashing lights in dance recitals here as well as at our church!
Scott had a few classmates in the recital too!

These girls' costumes were Ashley's favorite-she kept saying "Mommy, they look like Tinkerbell!"
More of the older students dancing-I love the below costumes, of course, because their skirts are plaid!

2 of Ryan's classmates were in this group also!
Cute hula dancers in their Hawaiian costumes
Here is the Brent lion dancing with a group
This group had a pirate theme with kerchiefs on their heads and music from Pirates of the Caribbean

Ashley's face looked this engrossed for the whole show, except when she first saw Mia and was waving frantically!
Some more shiny, sparkly costumes-all the performers did a great job and we really enjoyed seeing the performance!
