Ryan crosses over to Boy Scouts

2nd new post of the day-We had a relaxed and quiet day after the race before the next big thing that night-SO glad Grammy could be here to watch Ryan cross over to the same Boy Scout troop that Scott is in!

Here is Ryan showing Grammy just a few of the amazingly cool things he can build with the sound snap circuits kit Aunt Ann gave him for Christmas.
Scott played King Kong for us.  He is the tuba that stays at our house.  He is dented and old with sticky valves.  Scott plays a newer one that looks much nicer and the valves work much more smoothly at school-his name is Gigantor and he is probably going to get to come home and spend the summer with us.  Once I had both tubas in the car and Greg said "is that called a four-ba?"  I don't know why he can say that and then say the jokes I send the kids in their lunches are not funny.
Ryan told me a great joke recently-how does a hurt pig get to the hospital??????  In a HAM-bulance.  I laughed out loud really hard!
Ashley had been dying to put up our recently purchased dollar store hummingbird feeder-so Greg helped her hang it after I made sugar water to put in
Readying while he waited for things to get started.

The Cub scout boys were crossing over to a few Boy Scout troops but most were going to Scott's and they had several scouts there to represent the troop

This was in a neighborhood near ours with this beautiful lake and we were blessed to have gorgeous weather!
The scoutmaster (whose son is in Ryan's den) gave out awards and the boys got to light the torches

and one of the older scouts-not Scott-shot several actual flaming arrows-it was really cool to watch!

There was a bridge for the boys to actually cross over

Scott is giving Ryan his new neckerchief-though at the end of the night, the boys give them back-they have to be earned with ranks in Boy Scouts.

 Ryan looked so proud!

This was his arrow of light award!  So proud of this-earned with activity pins in different categories and several other requirements

Showing it off with Grammy and Mom and Dad at home-a very special night!!!!  Since the crossover he has been to his first scout meeting and the boys are excited about their first campout together later in May.  They have both learned a lot and really enjoy Scouts!
These two are so funny!  Arguing one minute and dressing like twins on purpose for church the next-pray they are always this close!
