Lower School Track and Field

4th post of the day-Ashley and I happened to be at school one afternoon and caught Scott practicing for the 3rd-5th grade track and field day that was last Saturday.  I LOVE the sports setting on my camera for things like this.  Above and below is Scott trying the long jump

Below are girls doing the hurdles

Below is Scott doing hurdles in the gold shirt
This picture was one of my favorites!

On the actual competition day-Doesn't he look official with his number?  Sadly they did not get to keep them.

This picture shows the new covering of the bleachers which are great!  However it was still SO hot, the parents were having sweating contests, even in the shade!
Below is Scott closest to the fence, ready to begin his hurdles race

Scott tried the high jump but knocked the pole down on all 3 tries-I told him that this was just a fun chance to try out new things

 Some parents brought lunch!
The javelin was his favorite event!

Below is Fei, one of Scott's classmates, throwing the javelin too

Scott asked for a turn to throw the bigger 5th grade javelin just for fun!

 Getting ready for final relays

Here is Scott in one of the relays!
He had a lot of fun participating-this was a neat thing for the school to do.
Here is a pretty tree at school-I need to ask Ms. Dali what it is?
