Memorial Day Hiking

On Memorial Day morning we packed lunches and drove to Caesars Head-North of Furman-to go hiking
Here are some pretty things Ashley and I saw
We began on the red trail together
but the boys left us pretty quickly-I have decided that Greg hikes like he shops-stomping quickly to get the goal accomplished as fast as possible and I told Ashley that I like to enjoy the view along the way more!  It was a fun day-the boys enjoyed their hike and we enjoyed ours.  I doubt if they talked any about the calming effect of nature, places that would make good fairy houses or fairy jails, and they could not have met and chatted with as many dogs as we did.

The boys stopped for lunch where the red trail goes off one way and the blue trail goes the other way-we visited for a minute and the boys took the blue trail

Ashley and I kept on our way to the waterfall overlook where we had decided to have our lunch

The waterfall was pretty but far away.  The boys got to see it after the blue trail and some very steep hiking on the pink trail.

We had lunch and made our way back

There were some heavy rocks to hold up along the way

Below is an overlook we stopped to check out on our way home-we live in a beautiful place!

Another of the May 29th birthday people
whole family-good thing it's far away-Ryan's eyes are all squinted up!
