Thanksgiving in Atlanta

Since we would not all be together at Christmas, we did our cousin swap at Thanksgiving and the kids were all excited to do it!  Above Ryan got goldfish which are one of his favorite things in the world!
Blythe got a puppy

Ashley picked out some new shirts for Joy
 Katie
 Ian got legos
 Abby Jane

 Grammy opening a birthday present

Playing in one of the backyard trees
There were many games-horse, Joy, hippopotamus
Ryan loves playing in Grammy's leaves
near the stop sign-having an important meeting

 Some heated games
Ryan's hair looked really excited about being with cousins!

 watching the Thanksgiving Day parade
 Pictures with pretty fall trees
 cartwheels before going inside
my Dad's family (Sudderth) Thanksgiving gathering for lunch-our kids plus Ian (whose favorite meal of the year is Thanksgiving) and Steven and Karen's girls
Many great memories in this fellowship hall of what is now One Heart Church-I had Bible school snacks (ring butter cookies and a different color kool aid every day) as a child, had piano recitals here as a teenager, and our wedding reception was in this room too!

We didn't have as large a crowd as usual this year-only around 50 but I think it is neat that we still get together-this began the year after my great grandmother passed away and this is the only time of year we see many of these dear people.  We all bring food, eat, and then a member of each family gets to share an update from the year.

Greg and the kids went outside to play

and enjoyed games and the nice day!

Afterwards we went back to Grammy's house

another turkey and more family to enjoy!

The teen end of the counter complete with some decoration and charger plates!
 the kids table-making crazy faces
 in the dining room

Katie played her clarinet for us

 Lots of fun cousin time!

 Uncle Chris makes fun pancakes
Grammy's driveway used to be very scary but not so much anymore.  6 cousins on scooters-reminds me a little of the book Bears on Wheels-6 cousins on 12 wheels but at least they didn't crash at the bottom!

We walked on the new boardwalk along the river one day-it was really fun!

 went to the playground

 and then walked back

we had a pie (whipped cream) eating contest!
That was hilarious-they were unbelievably quiet for a very short time

 it was really funny!
The play fort is a great place to draw

we had dinner out at Tin Lizzy's with Aunt Katherine before we had to come home.  As always-great being with family!
