One weekend in February, a childhood friend of Greg's named Katherine came to visit. I have known her since we were in college. She even drove from her college in Columbia, SC for Greg's surprise 21st birthday party that I had for him at the McDonald's near Furman-everyone should have a birthday party at McDonald's and he never had. She was a bridesmaid when we got married and I can't believe that I have NO pictures with her in them from her visit with us. We had a great time catching up. Scott was not home much because he was at a youth group church event on Friday night and a merit badge workshop for scouts on Satuday.
On Saturday, we took Katherine, Ashley, Ryan, and Max to Furman to walk and ride bikes. It was really fun!
We didn't imagine living in Greenville with our children and bringing them here when we started college in 1990-no that could not possibly have been 26 years ago! Katherine really was there-she took this picture of us!
Ashley wanted to see just how close she could get to the ducks!
Looks like the Secret Garden but is really the rose garden-I will have to take her back when they are blooming this summer-it is so pretty and smells so sweet!
