Hong Kong-the final part

The last couple of days we went to visit a nunnery with beautiful gardens, a temple, and another museum.  That afternoon we took another bus tour since our tickets were still good.

We laughed as we read all the rules at the garden entrance and said that it was going to be hard for Ashley not to frolick-since she frolicks-skips, jumps, and plays everywhere she goes!  We did have to remind the boys not to climb on rocks and they would have loved climbing all the trees here but we didn't let them.

Below is a buddhist pine tree-there were many at the garden and we had seen several on Lantau island near the big buddha statue.

When we saw these monks coming out of this building Scott said "aren't those monks?  Why are they here?  I thought this was a nunnery"  I laughed and Ryan said "maybe they came to visit the nuns"

This is one of the lions outside the temple

We walked by this river to get to the temple and museum
Hong Kong Heritage Museum-below

The first section of the museum was pottery and there were many beautiful pieces
 and then some others!!

Ashley liked the section on Chinese opera because of the costumes and headdresses and jewelry
There were beautiful sections of art and calligraphy too

Friday morning the kids and I walked just a couple of blocks from our hotel to see the Christmas decorations at the Peninsula hotel-VERY fancy.  There were several shops in the lobby Ralph Lauren, Prada, Harry Winston etc

With the lion outside the Peninsula and a funny face one by the fountains and we walked back to our hotel to enjoy a last fabulous breakfast buffet before going to the airport.
We rode a shuttle bus to the train station and these 2 signs on the bus made me laugh!
The below picture is blurry but is naming the $1500 fine for spitting!
Here are the kids in front of some of the Christmas decorations at the airport in Hong Kong!  It was a great trip!  Will post about our Christmas back in Manila soon!
