Pictures from the Fall

Ashley likes roller skating even in the rain
Ryan found this really cool spider while mowing the grass in the backyard
I came across this hilarious picture that Ashley had drawn sometime when we lived in the Philippines (I thought).  We think that it is all of us on the roller coaster in the mall that we rode most Sundays after church but we are not sure how Max got in on the ride since we didn't get him until a few months after we had come back!  Love kids drawings-they are funny!
Hard for us to believe that some people work to make their hair look like this-Ryan just goes to bed with it wet after a shower and wakes up with this!!!
Scott is doing a special program at his high school called New Tech-they work with technology a lot, do lots of group projects-many with practical community involvement, and this program got a new building over the summer.  This is the one and only picture I took of it while we were running around at his Open House night.  The windows are into classrooms and Ryan was hanging out in one of the buildings common areas while we were listening to teacher presentations and Scott was at band practice-where it felt like he spent all of his time from August-the end of October.
Ashley was a great level winner for a Summer reading contest at school and one of the prizes was a silly string battle with Mrs. Gibson-their sweet librarian
 She was ready!!!

the kids all had a blast!
a boy and his dog-rare for either of them to be this quiet and still-had to capture the unusual moment
Ryan with friends Jacob and Anish from school-they came over for games one Friday afternoon-telestrations which is just hilarious
and wii-glad he has gotten to be friends with these two-they are really nice guys!
This is Ted the tuba-Ashley and Ryan might both be able to fit inside his case.  He gets to come home to visit us on weekends sometimes.  There are 6 tuba players at Scott's high school and they don't have enough instruments for everyone to keep one at home to practice.  Ted's case when turned sideways takes up the WHOLE width of the back of the Suburban.

I left the garage door open for a short time one day and a bird got into our garage-I had to take someone somewhere right after school that day and when boys called to say that they had gotten home, they said "Mom, there's a bird in the garage!"  We did finally lure it out that evening-we turned the outside lights on and the garage lights off and that lured the bird outside!  It was a little crazy.
