Ryan's Birthday

This was the morning of March 10th-biscuits are Ryan's favorite breakfast so that is what we had!
He was so excited for his birthday that his hair had a party the night before

Ashley put 12 balloons on his door!

We laughed that he now weighs more than 20 times more than he did when he was born-

He was SO teeny!

When Ryan would cry, Scott would take off running saying "check on baby brubber!"  He did not turn 2 until Ryan was almost 3 months old so I had to follow him very quickly to make sure that he didn't do anything to accidentally hurt "baby brubber."

They boys in their special Great Grandaddy Cook made baby adirondack chairs

An amazing amount of growth and change in 12 years-God is good!  So proud of the young man you are becoming, Ryan!

The weekend of his b'day was the Disciple Now Weekend for our church youth-which was awesome!  The next weekend, Ryan had a neighbor/school friend over on Friday afternoon to ride bikes, jump on the trampoline, and play legos.  Greg brought home pizza for dinner and we had, at Ryan's request, "gooey" instead of birthday cake.  The rest of the world probably calls "gooey" lemon chess squares.  My neighbor made it for us growing up and unless it's cold it is very gooey and so my dad started calling it "gooey."

Jacob brought Ryan some legos for his birthday-including the kit in the middle of a van and camper that Ryan had been wanting

The boys playing wii after dinner
Jacob made himself a crazy mii person!

 a face for crazy brothers!
Ryan opened his presents from us later that night-this first present was from Ashley and Scott

They ALSO gave him the kit with the van and camper-he returned theirs to buy other legos!

the HUGE police station kit that he started talking about AFTER I had finished the Christmas shopping but I found a good deal on it on Craig's List in Atlanta so while we were there for Christmas, Greg picked up the kit and we smuggled it home and hid it.  Ryan was REALLY excited to get it and put it together the next morning!

This was the Ninjago stealth raider that he picked out and bought with birthday money from aunts, uncles, and Grammy
Just surrounded by cool new legos-in Ryan's mind there is nothing better!!!!!!!!!  We think that when he grows up he (and his cousin Ian) should go to work for the Lego company!
