A couple of weeks ago we went to a friends house, just Greg and I, to a party they had to celebrate their first year in the Philippines. Our hostess said that she wanted to do something unique and Filipino for dinner so there it was on the table-a whole roasted pig! Just a little of a surprise-sorry I did not have my camera. What is even more surprising is to see a whole pig turning and roasting outside a gas station in a little food stall-very popular here but as Greg said-"it's not Charlie's!" our favorite Greenville BBQ place! By the way there was other food too for dinner!
We had a fun evening visiting with people-some we already knew and some we did not. It was yet another reminder to me of how our world has been broadened in our time here. We were with people from India, Australia, England, Holland, and Ireland. I think that has been one of the most interesting learning experiences for me and the kids here is all the many different people from other places and cultures that we are getting to know-what a privilege!
