Greg left last Saturday to go to Paris and London-yes really for work! He was supposed to just fly through Amsterdam but ended up having to spend the night there because of flight delays due to snow-the kids and I are jealous that he has seen snow and is cold! Ryan said "I wish I could go on Daddy's business trips with him!" I laughed! Don't think Greg would get too much done. Scott chimed in and said he wanted to go too-to see other places he had read about and Ashley wanted to go so she could make snow angels.
Anyway, Greg is traveling with Howard-a new ex-pat who has been here with his wife, Pat for 2 weeks. She and I went to the Fluor Client Appreciation night-to see Mamma Mia at the Philipine Cultural Center-where we took the kids to see the Nutcracker. The musical was great! A really fun performance and it reminded me of seeing the movie when it came out with a bunch of girlfriends on a girls night out in Greenville.
After the performance we all went to the Manila Hotel for dinner-a very historic hotel that is beautifully re-done. Here's a link to info about the history of the hotel-

Here are some pictures I took of the hotel-dinner was very nice-lots of fancy silverware on the table-we ate shrimp with lemon olive oil, seafood soup-that was a little too seafood-y for my taste, we had sorbet, roast beef, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, and for dessert coconut panna cota with tropical fruit salsa-it was good but Greg would have said the food all belonged on Top Chef because it was nothing plain and ordinary!
I'm so glad you get perks like this along the way...Not London or Paris, but I have feeling those days will come...
