2nd post of the day- Prized moments of sweetness among siblings! We stayed at the Hilton Singapore and this was not long after we arrived on Tuesday around lunchtime.
This was right next to our hotel
and we got a quick lunch at this McDonald's before getting on the tour bus!
Above is a nearby steak restaurant that the hotel told us about-it was so good we ate there 2 nights!
The above picture was taken for Grammy-Starbucks were everywhere in Singapore!
Beginning our circuit on the hop on/hop off bus!
Our first view of the amazing Marina Bay Sands resort-that boat looking thing sitting on top of 3 posts, the other building was just in the way of my picture.
first glimpse of the Singapore Flyer ferris wheel-we decided that we would not spend the $30 per person to ride, even though the ride is 30 minutes-you can even have dinner in some special cars while you ride!
a seriously BIG ferris wheel!
More of the Marina Bay Sands and the museum next to it
We got off the bus at one point, took a river cruise, and then got back on the bus
Orchids are plentiful and beautiful in Singapore!
The riverboat cruise boats
Merlion Park
The Merlion is a symbol of Singapore
Inside Marina Bay Sands
so big there is a river and boats to ride inside the resort
view up into the ceiling
We went up to the top and here are some pictures from the viewing platform-there is only a pretty small space (relative to the whole) where non-guests are allowed. I had been disappointed to learn that you had to be a guest to swim in their infinity pool-the pictures we have seen of it look so neat!
The above trees light up at night!
Loved the floating soccer field
We walked to see Merlion Park from land too
Singapore is filled with many unique buildings!
Dinner our first night was at one of Singapore's 2 Hard Rock cafes-Greg needed to add another shirt to his collection of at least 9.
