Here is Ashley dressed and ready for her class chapel presentation. I can't believe that she is almost 6 and looking so grown up. Something about wearing jeans-especially since you aren't used to seeing them in jeans makes kids look so long legged, tall, and grown up!
Here are the kids all waving to parents singing the welcome song at the beginning of chapel
They sang some cute songs-including one thanking mommy and daddy for all the things we do for them-where are the Kleenex?
They also did a skit about the 10 lepers Jesus healed and only one came back to say thank you. Ashley was the narrator and all the kids did a terrific job. I loved the creative way the teacher came up with for them to appear they had leprosy and then to be healed-they wore socks on their arms with red spots on them and then took off the socks!
The kids celebrating birthdays and one mom who was forced to the stage by her child!
So proud of our sweet youngest!
They have been studying living things in class and have guppies and goldfish (not pictured)
both land and water snails-they watched the land ones race one day! She told her friends about holding a snail at the cabin last summer and not liking when it pooped in her hand-Kindergarteners share such great things!
earthworms-which Ashley didn't want to hold!
here is a snail she made
They have had eggs in an incubator but they have not hatched yet and we are beginning to worry if something is wrong! We talked about incubators and I showed Ashley pictures of Ryan and the one he was in when he was first born. I am SO glad that she is having such a terrific year in Kindergarten!
