So Happy to have her daddy home!
Our Greenville friends in Perth sent the boys cool notepads that looked like Australian dollars
a koala bear with a boomerang and cool keychains and a bag of chocolates shaped like frogs-the kids were thrilled when I let them eat one with their breakfast
Greg brought Ashley this cute stuffed kangaroo
and her own koala shirt-pink of course
He bought the boys a deck of cards with a kangaroo and the Australian flag on them and a boomerang that we are going to have to find a special place to throw so we don't break anything with it-probably will end up hanging on the wall in the playroom. He also found us 2 great Christmas ornaments-one with a kangaroo and one with a koala bear.
Greg said that he owed the kids 2 weeks of tickles for while he had been gone-here was the delivery and shrieking about some of them-Greg has his ear covered because they were being so loud and with no carpet in the house they seem even louder!
The boys also got beach shirts from Perth that they are wearing!
You can see Ryan's birthday banner hanging by his door in the background. Ashley tried on her new white dress for her end of school program and showed Greg and then needed to see how it twirled!
Her program was this Saturday from 4-7pm-it will get its own post soon but each class is singing songs from a broadway musical and then changing out of costumes and into white dresses for girls and pants, shirts, and ties for boys for the "graduation" part of the program. All get a diploma even if they will be returning to the school next year which we didn't quite understand but that is how they do it. I had a hard time finding a fairly plain all white dress-many were VERY fancy fabrics, sequins, tulle, all ruffles, etc. and were very expensive. I didn't want to buy her something that she would have NO other occasion to wear. So I was very happy to find this own-mostly cotton and even though a size 8-it was just a little long. Apparently they do the white dress thing every year so Ashley will probably wear this again next year. I was pleased that she liked it!
