This was our longest day of driving. We left Grand Canyon after breakfast and drove to Flagstaff, Arizona. There we stopped at a walmart to pick up a few things and were amazed at the beautiful mountain view from their parking lot! We drove through this town Tuba City-had to get a picture of the Tuba player with this sign. Town was named after an Indian tribe-something like Tuvvaa. We grabbed some lunch at Sonic and kept on driving through Monument Valley-the rocks all reminded us of Road Runner and Coyote cartoons. The boys called them "meee, meeep, pow!" and would ask to watch that when they were little. The 4 corners actual monument where all 4 states touch is still closed after covid but we stopped at state line signs and took pictures. Then we kept on driving and got into Moab, Utah about 9:00 pm and had a great dinner at the Blu Pig BBQ restaurant.
Crazy straight long flat roads!!!!!
More amazing and again SO different from home landscapes!
Had to catch this-Greg was driving 100!!!! but we were going 15-20 minutes at least between seeing any other cars and speed limit was insanely high-like 85 I think!
The 4th sate of 4 corners is Arizona and we had started there in the morning but didn't have a sign picture.
Kids sent Grammy travel journals via text most days-I think Ashley said about this day-we drove and looked at rocks ALL day long!
