3rd post of the day-It was Grandparent's day at Ashley's school on a Friday and Grammy came up to have lunch with her-below is Ashley's heart that she had decorated for their Veteran's Day display-Grandpa Allen is in the white uniform, Grandpa Larry is on the bottom, and Ashley's great grandfather Elliott is above right. I have since gotten a picture of her great grandfather Cook in his Navy uniform that we can add next year.
All of Ashley's classmates loved her Grammy and Ashley really had fun having her join them for lunch!
Nice and then CRAZY faces.
It worked out nicely for Bev to get to do something special with all 3 kids for her quick day run to Greenville-Scott played in all 3 of the Veteran's Day assemblies at his school. Bev and I went and Dale and Theta Fink met us there-Dale was in the Navy with my dad and they are super special, long time friends but sadly I didn't get a picture with them.
Below you can see the bell of Scott's tuba and a tiny bit of his face!
Since this group was just 7th and 8th graders, Bev didn't get to see Ryan play at school
the JL Mann High School drill team performed also.
So Bev came to the house for a little while and Ashley got to show her Girl Scout notebook,
heard a little more tuba music
and got to hear Ryan playing his bass for the first time in person-we have done facetime recitals before but the bass is a little large and fragile to take in the car on a weekend trip to Atlanta! SO thankful for an involved loving grandmother who loves and wants to be involved with our kids!
