Ashley had actually fallen asleep while in her room this afternoon so I had to wake her from a sound sleep, then she had trouble deciding what costume to wear-going back and forth between Cinderella and Snow White-between that and gathering up our pumpkin chocolate chip muffins we were late. When we arrived, the play had already begun so the kids quickly sat down to watch.
The teachers were all in costume doing a play of The Very Hungry Caterpillar book-it was terrific!
Ashley is Cinderella-in the light blue dress. Ryan is in the red and yellow striped fireman jacket, and Scott is sitting next to him in the blue and red Spiderman costume.
Here is the caterpillar "eating" through the strawberries
Here are all the children, parents, and ya-yas that were watching.
The piece of cheese, the caterpillar, the hot dog-a great but very toasty costume for this weather, and a slice of cake. The plays emcee was one of the schools directors-Teacher Rosanne.
in her cocoon
Now she is a beautiful butterfly
Scott meets another Spiderman
Ashley with her friend from class Zoey-the ladybug
The caterpillar is helping Ashley in her game-the younger kids jumped in hula hoops
Ashley team came in 2nd place and she got a pink princess pen that she was so happy with that she would have been satisfied to go home right then. She carried it around all during trick or treating!
The fireman and Spiderman played with the big kids-running and picking up and putting down plastic spiders
Ashley's class picture-Teacher Boom (the new one taking over the class) Bjorn, Andy, Yanna, Zoey, Ashley, Jun and Chan, and Ms. Rheena (who sadly won't be back after the holiday)
Trick or Treating in the neighborhood near the clubhouse where the party was
Ashley-ready to pray over the snacks-a huge long table-mostly of junk food in addition to all the candy we took home! We had a great time!
