Swim Meet

 This was the first swim meet of the school year and Ryan's first to participate in!  As is his typical attitude, he didn't want to do it that morning but ended up deciding that it was great and he had had fun!

 Getting his races written on his arm-he did the 50 meter freestyle and 50 meter breaststroke-the distance was 2 lengths of the pool.

 Scott did 6 races this time.  50 meters of all 4 strokes and 2 relays.

 The team meeting and warm-up.  The man sitting on the bench is the head swim coach.  He asked the kids who was nervous and over half raised their hands-I think it helped Ryan to know he wasn't the only one!

 I tried to get a good picture of the boys together but this was the best I could do!

 I thought this picture was funny.  I am pretty sure that Scott has pushed off the wall-beginning his backstroke race.

The kids school won first place in the meet and the boys were happy to have both earned points (based on their times) to contribute to their team winning.  Ryan was also super excited that his friend Daniel and his younger brother and dad arrived at the pool just in time to see Ryan's second race and he could hear us cheering him on as he was getting close to the finish.  Another meet sometime in October!
