Scott went to camp!

 Starting in 4th grade the kids at their school go away on trips-they have plenty of school chaperones, but parents do not go.  Scott got to go back to Subic Bay-where we took Grammy at Christmas 2011.  I don't have pictures of while they were there-his teacher is going to get us some soon but here is the group ready to leave early one school morning

 They are all sitting in line by class waiting to get on the bus.  Below in the white sweater is Scott's teacher.  They have been having camp meetings for weeks going over rules, hearing about all the great activities they are going to do, and more.  They got to go swimming, hike in the rainforest, learn about survival in the forest, and for Scott-go back to Ocean Adventures to see the aquarium and animal shows.  The teachers have done this so many times and have everything amazingly well organized and efficient.  They sent home packing lists and schedules for us to have at home.  All the kids had a camp book with camp info, games and activities to do on the bus-including a look out the window scavenger hunt.

.  They left on a Wed. morning and returned on Friday around noon.  He had a terrific time, loved the hiking-chose to go with the group that did the longer, more challenging one, and of course, loved the swimming and aquarium trip.  I know that he had fun being away, just wish I could have been a lizard on a tree to see all that they got to do!  I cannot believe that my firstborn will be 10 in just a short time!
