Saturday/Sunday-We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at home. Scott played at a friends' house-we walked there in our neighborhood. Ryan, Greg and I played Connect 4 and made a rain gauge from a 2 liter bottle while Ashley took a nap. We went to church Sunday and had a few more pieces of furniture delivered-Greg's mom can come visit now-she has a bed!
Monday-I took Ashley to school and got a phone call less than 30 minutes later that her school was closing for coming bad weather (a typhoon-did you know that those are really the same as hurricanes? Hurricanes form in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific Oceans. Typhoons form in the Western Pacific Ocean). I quickly checked out with my groceries and went back to pick her up. It was rainy most of the day.
Tuesday-the boys school was closed so we enjoyed a day of games and playing inside and watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while eating popcorn.
Wednesday-All 3 kids were back to school as scheduled.
However in 2 1/2 days our rain gauge caught 5 1/2 inches of rain-WOW! There was a lot of damage done to homes farther north of the area where we live-I think that it was the most serious storm of this rainy season so far.
Thursday-Ashley and I went to BSF and we are continuing to enjoy the study of the book of Acts. Ashley was very excited to tell me about Peter getting out of jail because his friends prayed-Acts 12.
