Pinewood Derby Car Race

 3rd post of the day-here are the boys in their uniforms (after changing from swim meet).  Scott is showing off his Webelo colors and Ryan his bobcat badge!

 One of the boys made an Olaf the snowman car-He was VERY cute but sadly did not race very well!

 The boys were pleased to receive awards for items they had been working on for a while.  Ryan got a ton of belt loops

 and Scott got a bunch of pins to wear on his colors

 Greg-who was an eagle scout in high school and part of a scout troop growing up wanted one of these cool Asia dragon patches but I asked the guy who was wearing it and he said that it was only for the anniversary year 2013.

 Ryan won a medal for his car's racing-it is super cool and has a pinewood derby car hanging from the medal.

Boys' Piano Recital

The boys' had a piano recital a few weeks ago-one Sunday afternoon early in May.  It was at one of the school's auditorium here in our neighborhood.  They got to play on a baby grand piano this year and it was Ryan's first recital.  All the students got trophies at the end of the recital.  Scott played "Nutcracker March" and "Beautiful Dreamer"  Ryan played a classical piece that you would recognize and another song called "Lightly Row"  They both did a terrific job.
