International Day

The theme for International Day this year was Asia and Australia.  I was excited about sharing some of the things we enjoyed about living in the Philippines.  Above was the table where I stood-our police officer's wife is from the Philippines and I really enjoyed meeting her.  Our table had some of the most popular food-we had pork lumpia-a Philippine "egg roll" and I shared little samples of calamansi juice and the kids loved it!  It was a fun day!

There were food samples, Indian dances, playing cricket, and Australian football, practice with chopsticks-Ryan is below, and seeing objects from other countries.  All the kids come through with their Social Studies class.

Greg's Birthday

We decided for this super special occasion to take the kids with us to Melting Pot for dinner.  We had a really fun night!  They always ask if you are celebrating something special and since Greg hates having attention drawn to him we were all asked to keep our mouths shut!
Ashley was excited to have pink fondue forks
 tasting dipping sauces

 all the boys!

We also celebrated another day on the porch at home with ice cream!  So happy you were born, Greg, and having fun raising our crazy kids together!

Random Funny Pictures

Ashley's class went on a field trip to Columbia and they got to meet our new governor, Henry McMaster.
One "spring" Sunday morning it was actually snowing on us as we drove to church!!!!  Crazy!!!!  It was on the ground for just a little while and was completely gone by the time we got home from church!  I normally LOVE and am all for having snow but our youth were doing Disciple Now all scattered at wonderful host homes and we were thankful that no one got stuck unsafely away from home!  Spring in the south sometimes feels like spring and sometimes does not.
This reminds me of what I would do when my mom would tell me to go outside to play-I would often take a book and climb up in the tree beside our driveway and read!

Ashley was proud of herself being able to do this move from gymnastics at a friend's playground

 funny faces

She always wants Max to look at her legoes but not let him eat them!

 a sunny afternoon with bubbles!

 Who is this crate for???????

Scott (at my instruction) fastened them in

they quickly unlatched the door and scowled at us-no children or dogs were harmed during the taking of these pictures!

Ryan seems to have decided that he doesn't want to wear the actual pajama tops so he just puts on the bottoms with whatever shirt he has had on all day-sometimes that makes quite an outfit.  These are his lumberjack pj's and really DO NOT go with stripes!!!!  but he took great pleasure wearing them together!

One nice day we made popsicles with juice and decided to make Max one out of peanut butter-he thought it was terrific!

I don't remember now what prompted these horrified faces but they were funny!
